The ankh sign in Mentuhotep III's throne name S-ankh-ka-ra might have been erroneously inscribed as the similar looking nefer on the Karnak king list. This would explain pharaoh Sneferkara is sitting just behind Mentuhotep II instead of Sankhkara.
