The fifth pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty, Ramesses VI, was not the son of his predecessor but rather a son of Ramesses III. He usurped the tomb of Ramesses V (KV9) which during construction inadvertently buried the entrance to the tomb of Tutankhamun, keeping it safe from plunderers for 3000 years.
