Ramesses II in hieroglyphs

The third pharaoh of the Nineteenth Dynasty, a.k.a. Rameses II, Ramses II

Ramesses II is one of the most recognised pharaohs in Egyptian history, notable for his long reign, diplomatic activity, and the splendour of his monuments. He is most known for the Battle of Kadesh, his extensive construction at Luxor and Abu Simbel, and his colossal statues like the ones at the Ramesseum. The most prolific builder of the kingdom ever saw, his name can be found virtually everywhere a temple has been built. The sheer number and variants of his names has no rival.
